Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for choosing a door opener from LiftMaster. Our products are manufactured under strict quality controls. Therefore, we guarantee you under the terms of this warranty that following garage door and gate openers (hereinafter the “Product“) will be free from defects in materials and faulty workmanship (guarantee of durability) within the period specified in the following table from the date of first purchase (“Warranty Period“). The Complete Product Warranty covers all product parts except for typical consumables (e.g. batteries) and general wear and tear parts. The Extended Electric Motor Warranty covers only the electric motor component.

Within the warranty period, faults claimed by the buyer will be solved in our sole discretion, at our expense by repair or delivery of new or completely overhauled parts. As a result, a new warranty is unreasonable. If your product is repaired or replaced under warranty, it will continue to be covered until the original warranty period expires. So, you’ll still enjoy the remaining warranty from the date of your original purchase. Other claims are excluded. This applies in particular to claims for damages, regardless of the legal reason on which they are based. This exclusion does not apply in cases of injury to life, body or health, or if we act with intent or gross negligence. The above disclaimer also does not apply if we are liable under the product liability law or violate essential contractual obligations that jeopardize the attainment of the guaranteed purpose.
All claims under this warranty (i.e. both the primary claim under this warranty (primary warranty) and secondary warranty claims that may arise after a repair or replacement) shall expire within 12 months. The limitation period of the primary warranty claim begins from your knowledge or grossly negligent ignorance of the defect of the product. The limitation period of secondary claims begins with the delivery of the repaired or replaced product to you.
Claims under this warranty shall only exist if:
- the product does not show any damage or visible wear marks caused by a use different from the normal purpose and from our specifications stipulated in the Installation and Operating Instructions
- the product shows no signs that suggest repairs or other interventions made on the product that are not expressly approved by us
- only accessories approved by us were installed in the product.
Procedure in case of a warranty claim:
Original purchaser of the goods shall contact Chamberlain GmbH Customer Service Team and provide an opportunity to investigate the complaint; in particular it shall make damaged goods and the packaging available for inspection by Chamberlain GmbH. Upon request, the customer will be provided with a reclamation RGA number and RGA form detailing the issue and the goods in question shall be returned to Chamberlain GmbH carriage paid within 14 days. If the complaint is justified Chamberlain GmbH shall reimburse the costs based on the most favorable means of delivery. Following technical inspection of returned goods by Chamberlain GmbH, the product will be returned in repaired condition or replaced with a new product.
Based on product issue description the Chamberlain GmbH Customer Service Team reserves a right not to ask for goods return and decide on the alternative ways of claim resolution in form of replacement product or credit note to the original purchaser.
Shall you be the property owner where LiftMaster product is installed, please contact your dealer or craft business from where you purchased the product within the warranty period with proof of purchase. They will process the warranty claim for you.
This warranty is valid worldwide in the aforementioned extent and under the conditions mentioned above and only upon presentation of proof of purchase (original invoice, sales receipt or cash receipt) issued by Chamberlain GmbH towards original purchaser of the goods (authorized dealer or craft business). The receipt must contain at least the date of purchase and contain the name and address of the dealer or craft business. The warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the product. If the original purchaser of the product sells it (e.g., via a platform such as eBay or Amazon) to another buyer, this warranty cannot be transferred to that buyer.
This warranty is subject to the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
